IERTUTIL.DLL: Internet Explorer Utility File
Unfortunately, there is no program that does not have at least one bug in it. Human beings are only human, after all, and prone to make mistakes. With the beta version of IE 7, some users may have experienced problems when installing the program. This may also have happened for anyone who attempts to uninstall IE7 by any other method than Add/Remove Programs.
If you received the error “Iertutil.dll file not found”, this is because somehow the file, which is used by a number of programs and not just IE, has been either deleted or corrupted. Once the file is downloaded, follow the appropriate instructions. If installing for another program, try to verify which program needs the file first.
Keep in mind that sometimes installing a third-party program may also cause your iertutil.dll file to have problems. Be cautious which program you download onto your computer and keep your anti-virus updated and scanning regularly.
